August 22nd was thought to be the day that Iranian President Ahmadinejad would spark the apocalypse in order to usher in the Islamic messiah. This apocalyptic speculation based on Ahmadinejad's own End of Days inclinations in which the hidden Iman returns amidst the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
The speculation that Ahmadinejad would initiate nuclear attacks on Israel, terror on the US, or general chaos across the world did not happen. Israeli intelligence believes that an Iranian Nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction is close to being produced which could spark a war in the Middle East that could well be of apocalyptic proportions, a scenario that makes Iran Israel's number one threat.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
Speculation that Iran's President Ahmadinejad would spark the apocalypse on August 22nd was indeed only speculation; however, there is an apocalypse that is coming, that is according to Bible prophecy.
For a number of weeks bloggers, internet servers, and even some Middle East analysts speculated that Iran's President Ahmadinejad would spark the apocalypse on August the 22nd, an event that did not materialize. Though the speculation of the apocalypse did not materialize, there is an apocalyptic day coming for the Middle East according to Bible prophecy.
Many of the ancient Jewish prophets have written about this coming apocalypse, especially the New Testament prophet, John, who wrote the prophetic book of Revelation. John wrote 2,000 years ago of a revived Roman Empire, possibly the present day European Union, and how it would bring a world dictator to power, that's Revelation 13. He also wrote that Israel would be the focus of destruction by its enemies. He wrote that Iraq, Babylon, would be an issue at the time, that's Revelation 18, and that wars would increase during this time with Iraq as a major player, that's Revelation 6:3-4 and a parallel passage found in Ezekiel 38:5.
Ahmadinejad's apocalypse did not materialize but one is coming.
