US President Bush and Iranian President Ahmadinejad both address the world at the UN General Assembly

US President George W. Bush challenged world leaders to do more to build democracy in the Middle East as he spoke at the UN General Assembly, a gathering of world leaders in New York City.

The President saying that establishing democracies in the Middle East would give people in the region a vision of hope, and opportunity, and a better future. Among those in the audience of the UN General Assembly was Iranian President Ahmadinejad who is an outspoken critic of US foreign policy and continues to challenge the world for its right to develop its nuclear program. Ahmadinejad came to the gathering of world leaders with an endorsement for his nuclear program from a recent gathering in Cuba of the non-aligned nations who said Iran does have a right to its nuclear program even though it could lead to a nuclear Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD).

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The gathering of world leaders at the UN General Assembly with speeches from two totally contradictory world views is a prototype of things to come according to Bible prophecy.

The annual gathering of the UN General Assembly brings world leaders together for the purpose of allowing each of them an opportunity to impact the world with his or her vision for the future. Though not in truth a Christian nation, the US is operated on biblical principles and has been so from the time of its inception over 200 years ago. Thus, the US President brings to his address, a Christian world view perspective. The Iranian President Ahmadinejad with a different world view than President Bush, brings to his speech for the world leaders a vision based upon his religious background and the fact that his nation is an Islamic republic with the law of the land, Sharia Law, from the Islamic holy book.

This annual meeting at the UN this year was indeed a prototype for the future when these two different world views will clash. Bible prophecy reveals that the forces of good and evil will clash during the seven year Tribulation Period during which the judgments of God, the God of the bible, not Allah of the Islamic faith, will be the victor, that's Revelation 19. Ephesians 6:12 says we will see the fight to bring down world leaders who oppose the return of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Two opposing world views presented at the UN General Assembly do indeed set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
