A spokesman for Hamas says that the United States President Obama is not an agent of change as the new president stated that the Israeli-Hamas ceasefire can only be effective if Hamas stops firing rockets into Israel from Gaza, an action that the Palestinian terrorist group rejects in their struggle against Israel.
This word comes from Hamas even as Obama named former senator George Mitchell as the new peace envoy to the Middle East with the express mission to bring about peace between these two parties, Israel and the Palestinians, a task that no previous United States administration has been able to do even with all of their fine efforts.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, especially in light of the division between the two Palestinian factions, Hamas and Fatah, these conflicts are both setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
President Obama made it very clear that he would be involved in the process of bringing a peacful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from day one of his administration. The very first act of the new president was to phone the Middle East and all the parties involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On day two, President named former senator George Mitchell as the new Middle East Peace Envoy with the mandate to bring the two parties together to negotiate a peace deal. Mitchell's main concern is the division in the body politic of the Palestinian people, the disunity between Hamas and Fatah.
Malachi 1 says that the Palestinians, Edomites in Biblical times, will return to rebuild. Ezekiel 35 says that they will kill the Jewish people and take the land that God has given to the Jews. Obadiah says that the conflict will continue and only intensify until Jesus Christ comes - then the Jews will be victorious (Obadiah 16-18).
President Obama and Senator Mitchell may want to bring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict but only the Lord can do that when Bible prophecy is fulfilled.
