Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
Chaos in the streets of Cairo, Egypt is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
With no resolution in sight, the showdown between Mohamed Morsi supporters and Egyptian military forces will only intensify in the very near future. The former Egyptian president's haste to establish an Islamic republic in Egypt actually led to his downfall and the situation today in Egypt, the largest of the Arab nations. This Middle East nation is included in the end of times prophetic scenario that is found in God's Word, Daniel 11:40-43. Referred to by the name, King of the South in verse 40 and mentioned by its name today, Egypt in verse 43, this Arab nation will be a key player on the alignment of nations that will form a coalition to attack the Jewish state of Israel in the early part of the seven year Tribulation Period yet in the future. This coalition of nations will be made up of the Arab world plus the additional Islamic nations who will form this coalition to try to destroy the Jewish state of Israel as called for in Daniel 11, Ezekiel 38, and Psalm 83.
Should the situation in Egypt today develop into a civil war between the two parties, the Morsi supporters and the temporary government backed by the Egyptian military, it could bring about the nullification of the Camp David Accords which is the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. That being the case then, the prophetic scenario that is found in God's Word would be in place for the move by the Egyptians at the head of this coalition of nations to attack the Jewish state of Israel.
As the world watches what's going on in Egypt and there are calls by world leaders to have calm in this the largest of the Arab nations it does not seem it is getting any better in the near future. The situation on the ground in Egypt today could indeed be the precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
