JD: I understand that what they did this project for is because they're looking for clues as to how the planetary bodies came into existence. They have a thirst for this knowledge to understand how everything came into existence don’t they?
DD: Well certainly, this object in the outer fringe of the solar system would be largely undisturbed through history almost like a museum of the past. And that is always the push either to find signs of life or to find ideas for a natural origin of the whole place. From our Biblical prospective I think this object and the pictures that they will be publishing they do give us a glimpse even of the creation week.
God’s put just endless variety out there. The earth has made
thousands of trips around the sun. This object that far out takes about 300
years for 1 orbit. So since creation, lets say 6,000 years ago this object has
only made about 20 trips around the sun. It is interesting this glimpse we get of
objects that God made back at the beginning.
JD: What are the scientists Don looking for? What do they expect
to find that will give them some type of clue?
DD: Well they would try to find the composition for sure of this
object, looking for data trying to show origins how it all came about. As we’ve
seen through the history of science all these origins theories whether it’s the
big bang they come and go they’re all temporary none of them are very
satisfying. Biblical creation the fact that the beginning was supernatural and
not that long ago is so refreshing and it makes good sense.
JD: Don DeYoung on the details of the space project that has
allowed man to observe the farthest point in space that they have been able to
reach so far.
