JD: Why did God choose the Jewish people?
EM: The best we can do is answer it in scripture. He said that these were not the most numerous people on the earth. They weren't the wises people on the earth. They weren't the most honorable people on the earth. But He says this Jimmy, I love them and I chose them. He chose the Jewish people to be singularly a witness to the world and the eye on the future and the things to come. When we read the Psalms about the glory of God, about the Heavens, about His handiwork we must see Him. Thank God. Through the Jewish people we have the provision to do that. When God said you're going to be my witnesses, Isaiah 43, you're going to be my witnesses when He talks about a light to the nations look to Israel that's the light.
JD: People can spend time reading God's word from Genesis to Revelation and recognize how He has loved these people and protected these Jewish people and set them in a special place. Now He has set them into a land. Now they stand out to all of the world of the fact that God has put them now back into the land that He chose to give them and that land forever.
EM: This is such a strategic moment in history. God has brought these people uniquely into their land given to thousands and thousands of years ago a land in their hearts. Today they're in Jerusalem. Israel gives the Jewish people a home to which they can go in their time of trouble. And God is going to finish things up for all of us with them there in that land.
JD: Dr. Elwood McQuaid explaining why the Jews in the land that God gave them is tangible evidence of a true almighty God who is in charge.
We report this information because it is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
As Elwood explained to us God chose the Jewish people, not because they were the most people on the earth and not because they promised to be good, but because they had not been good. God chose the Jew because He loved them, that's Deuteronomy 7:6-8. In fact that love is why He chose any of us. God has a plan for the Jewish people which has not been completed. That plan will be fulfilled.
